Question 2fan vs 3fan gpu noob question

Hello, is there any difference other than visual between 2 and 3 fans? Something like more electricy compsumption or I dont know... Why is that some GPUs have 2 fans and some 3...? Is it just for design or does it solve some other purpose?

Additionally, does small RTX card have less power compsumption and provide less FPS than bigger card does if they're same RTX number?

3 fan units usually have a longer body with a larger heatsink,
so more heat dissipation and a 3rd fan to help blow this heat away more efficiently.

they will usually run a bit cooler with lower fan RPMs so also less noise produced than a 2 fan unit.

but it also depends on the manufacturer.

some systems can't fit a larger 3 fan card.

and a 2 fan card may cost a bit less.
