Well, I was wondering, because I have bought the EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB graphic card, if I was ever to SLI in future, could I just do it with the 4GB model that they offer? (The EVGA GTX 670 FTW 4GB), or would I have to use another 2GB card?

I would understand that the total memory, if I did SLI, would still be 2GB, yet having the 4GB card there also, for future may be helpful, when spreading gameplay across a 7680x1440 resolution. (For example, having a triple SLI on the 4GB cards, and using my 2GB card for the PhysX, if I've got that right...)

From what I've understood, there are some issues when mis-matching VRAM configurations. Sometimes, it just will not work, at least that was the case for the GeForce 500 series cards. I know that AMD Radeon HD have more flexibility when handling Crossfire.

Watch these:

These two videos cover everything there is to know about SLI/Crossfire. But to answer your question, no, I would not recommend you buy a 4GB card if you plan to SLI it with a 2GB card. Buy another GTX 670 2GB card.
