I recently bought 32 inch led(4k). I am looking to use it on my pc. Can a Nvidia GT 730 2gb handle it. Using it for mid range gaming.

Scaling down IS NOT 4K". 720p on a 4K display is pretty horrible looking and defeats the point of 4K. If the OP wants 4K gaming a 1050 TI is as low as you want to go, it will handle low/medium settings at 30 fps in most titles. A used 980/980ti would be better at around the same price as a 1050TI at the moment and they sit around a 1060 6gb and 1070 GTX in performance.
For gaming, my answer would be no. You'll end up overheating the card, losing display and/or possibly damaging the card because of the heat. However you will be able to get display.

Max supported resolution: 3840x2160 at 60Hz supported over HDMI. 3840x2160 at 60Hz supported over DisplayPort and 2048x1536 over VGA (Taken from geforce.com)

Also, it depends on what games you are playing.

Whaa?? Half of what you said is completely false. The answer is still No, but you will not end up overheating the card, losing display is damaging the card. How do you think video card work?

The video card is diffidently not powerful enough to play any games at 4k, but you could just play them at a lower resolution.

No you will not be able to handle even the lowest settings in most games that support 4K, Your CPU is also a factor here. A 730 is capable of 4K digital content "Streaming, Netflix, Movies Offline" but games that support 4K it's not even half as strong as you need.

There's no way an overheating GPU will destroy a display. Unless the GPU catches fire and the fire spread across the display cable... You're more likely to be hit by lightning seven times than that happening. Then again, that has happened to one person, so...? :) Worst case would be a (-n unnoticeable) shortened life of the GPU, but a GPU has built-in throttling to prevent them from getting too hot.
There are very few current high-end cards able to game on a 4k display without reducing game detail. So a four generations old low-end GPU would obviously not be able to do much other than play Mine Sweeper. 4k video at 60 FPS might also cause constant video slow-downs in intense scenes with that amount of graphics memory. I'm not exactly sure of where the limit is, but I think the low bar for fluid 4k 60 FPS video might be around a 4GB 750Ti depending on your computer's overall performance. Basic Windows usage and web browsing will probably feel exactly the same way it does on your current display.

Correct. You can scale everything down to let's say 720p. But I believe the OP is asking if his GT 730 can handle mid-range gaming at 4k , which will result in everything I stated before.

Since I am taking time to post a reply, in case you do upgrade in the future, keep an eye out on HDMI 2.0 vs HDMI 1.4 and the differences at 4k res.

By losing display I meant not getting any output. It is a quite common term (last time I checked) and you'll come across it quite often. It doesn't mean you'll lose your display because it will undergo spontaneous combustion lol.
