Hi, I recently saw this monitor online that can switch from 4k 60hz to 2k 144hz. I'm not sure if that is possible. Any knowledge on this?

Would help if you linked the monitor you are talking about. The default resolution can't change, if a monitor is 4k, it's 4k. Refresh rate it can run depends on the inputs it has, the screen and the video card used. Something that can't run 4k at 144hz can possibly run it at 2k.
