Hi guys, my friend is looking to upgrade his monitor. He's currently using a 1080p@75hz 24inch. His specs are ryzen 5 2600 and rtx 2080. Which monitor would suit him more? I know the 2600 would bottleneck the 2080 in 144hz but i'm seeing debates over people saying that they would prefer 144hz any day over 2k 75hz. Oh yeah the monitor is strictly 24inch only. Cant go any bigger for travelling reasons. So can you even see the diff between 1080p and 1440p in 24inch? He doesnt play competitive games that often more towards rpg and story driven games with high graphics.

Solution
Yeah unfortunately there's like close to none 24inch 2k in my country. The closest i have is anmite monitor from china. They're like super cheap but i wouldnt risk. Would you mind explaining what's nits? I'm not well-knowledged in monitors. Is that brightness? My friend doesnt use monitors on full brightness, often times it's in the low 5 to 10 brightness.
Nits are brightness, but if your friend uses his monitors dim then I'd recommend the Philips monitor

1440p 100%. I used to have a 21inch 1080p monitor and got a nice 1440p 27 inch monitor, and the difference is still night and day to me with image quality (although I'm quite young so my eyes are still quite sharp). And honestly if all he cares about is graphics, and if he plays demanding games at max settings I'd be kinda surprised if he got more than 75 fps

Is 1440p also good on 24 inch? I read that you can only tell the difference and appreciate the high resolution on bigger screens

sorry for late reply, I found a cheaaap 24 inch 1440p 75hz monitor by Lenovo. https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/access...82878267!!6548549656!76751675697&gclsrc=aw.ds

Lenovo with the long links lol.

Response Time4ms (Extreme Mode), 6ms (Normal Mode)
so pretty solid response time insane steal not bad for gaming :v
Thank you for the help but that monitor isnt available in my region or at least my online shopping sites. Could you help me decide which monitor is better?

The philips monitor is va panel which he doesnt really mind now seeing that they have better contrast ratios. Both monitors are around the same price except that the philips is brand new while the acer is used.

I'd say the acer since they seem like they're both incredibly nice however that acer monitor is 400 nits vs only 250 nits on the philips. They're both color accurate and have great response time. Did you change your mind on the size? I noticed those two are 27 inch haha.
