I was looking at my windows 2k and i want to scandisk for erro hehehe i grew up on 98.. and i look and there so no scandisk why no?? don't need it .. Hehe i guess now\t = (
Nope, there's no scandisk. Win2k uses 'chkdsk' instead. Same difference.
Use the line: chkdsk /f c:
I usually put in a file called sd1.bat in the winnt folder. I add entries for all my drives, and then add a 'pause' at the end so if there's any errors, I can review them before the window closes.
btw, you'll have to restart to check your main drive.
All you have to do is go into My computer, RIGHT-CLICK the drive letter you want to scan (for errors), choose PROPERTIES > TOOLS tab > click on the "check now" button in the CHECK FOR ERRORS section to run CHKDSK.
