Your build looks fine to me. Nice processor, gives plenty of room for upgrade in the future. Two minor points I would make are firstly to go for a better brand for your GPU, the price from power colour to XFX/Asus is about $10. Also I would go for an XFX 550w PSU (they are made by SeaSonic, XFX just stick their badge on it) as it costs only $5 more and gives a better power overhead so you have room to upgrade up to maybe an R9 280x or something of that power draw in the future.

This is a really nice set of parts for a good price so it's fairly difficult to drop the price. My only real suggestion would be to perhaps go for a cheaper case, unless you really want the one you've already picked.
Looking at the OP's original build, there are very few ways to reduce cost.
1. 1x8Gb memory. A slight performance penalty, and a modest saving.
2. Antec VP450 PSU, decent and cheaper, but PCI-e 6 pin connector., BP430, or VP550plus.
3. Cheaper case.
