Hi all,
Im new to crossfire/sli setups and need some help.

Im running 2x ASUS Radeon HD7770 2GB graphics cards connected by a crossfire strap.

The cards alone are clocked at 1020Mhz with a memory speed of 1150Mhz

I have both cards enabled and both are showing activity during gaming however the 2nd card seems to be clocking in at 300Mhz and the memory at 150Mhz whilst the first GPU is showing 100% load.

is this correct or are they supposed to share the load?

Setup is as follows;

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H
Processor: AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz FM2 4MB 100W Black Edition
RAM: 4x Corsair Vengeance 2133mhz 4GB
GPU: 2x ASUS Radeon HD7770 2GB

One cause could be your board is only running the second PCIe lane in x4 mode, which is generally not acceptable for dual card use.
Xfire can be enabled on x4, however x8 is the generally accepted minimum (this is what is also required for SLI to be enabled).

I personally would recommend against xfire 7770s, especially with such a weak processor as well.

ok firstly how do i check what the mode the PCIe lane is running.

secondly based on what youve said would it be more beneficial to run the cards separately instead of using crossfire?

Turns out your exactly right and the second card is only running on a x4 lane. I had no idea they run at different speeds until now. complete waste of the second GFX card really. time for new build one thinks.

Thanks again
