As I can't find a monitor section I'm thinking this might be a good alternative .
I'm looking at a 30" monitor that's 2nd hand on ebay.

The monitor is going for half the normal price of a 30 inch 2560 x 1600 monitor but it's also a bit of a relic since it came out in 2008.
Can anyone tell me if this monitor is still any good by today's standards?
Or should I just shell out the extra $500-$700 for a new one?
