2nd Hand Fans

Is it safe to buy a 5-month old pc fan? If it is not, please tell me why. Just need some information too

A PC Fan is a PC Fan. Just check the connectors are okay and it is clean of dust. Most of time it works.

How much are you paying for used fans? Hopefully not more than $5. At that kind of price point, it is basically disposable and completely RNG based as to what you'd be getting. 99% of the time the stuff should work, but the bigger question is will they work well enough for you? Will they be quiet enough, will they move enough air? Is the fan bearing going to last long enough for you? If you don't mind then it don't matter. Then again if you do care, why are you cheaping out and playing the lottery with old fans? Too much work to save so little money.

40 CFM at 24 db, too loud for too little airflow. I wouldn't waste any money on those to start with. Besides they are only $10 new. I say $1 at best for used.

Skip the lights they are not worth when you are on budget. You need to decide you priority, quiet or airflow. Of price goes up when you try to get both.
