Question 2nd Monitor goes black screen when playing games on full screen with 1st monitor

I currently have a 1080 ti and havent been able to figure out why this is happening.

Check your NVIDIA control panel settings. I have found a fix for this here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...tor-going-black-when-playing-game-fullscreen/ (scroll down to second to last post and read entirely)

If that doesn't work please let us know, and post full system specs.

Its not working, I have a i7 4770k, gtx 1080 ti, Asus Maximus VI Formula Motherboard ,16gb ram, 120 gb ssd

1. Disable Aero
2. Both screens set at full-screen via NVIDIA control panel

I'm out of ideas. Try using the other display as the one used for gaming or unplug the first one.

Disabling Aero did work however now i'm running into an issue where moving chrome or the folder tab around wasn't as smooth, it feels like its laggy. Not quite sure how to explain this.
