2nd monitor not detected on new pc

Hey there. I built my new pc and my 2nd monitor is not being detected. I plug my main monitor into my 1060 and my 2nd into the hdmi on mobo bc I don't have any display ports on my monitors or dvi cables. The monitor is not detected. In device manager it says microsoft basic display adapter
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter.

normally you can use either the integrated graphic or the additional one. not both.
why don't you connect them both on your 1060

I don't have a monitor with display port so I have to use the only hdmi on the 1060 for my main display. Also I don't have any DVI cables laying around. Surely it should work as I did it with my last build, right?

not all boards permit it, you could try to jump in bios and see if graphic permitted to run in dual mode (it I probably set to auto default meaning either internal/external not both)

Good point. I now remember having to do that with my other PC. Ill get back to you shortly

I have no options in BIOS to enable IGPU

seemingly this board doesn't have an option you may enquire further at ASROCK forums about it, but all I see about IGPU is how much memory you want to share on your pc for its use on page 53 of the manual. under northbridge
