Hey there so on my new ish PC I’ve been trying to connect my 2nd monitor thru my mobo hdmi. However nothing shows up.
Specs: 2200g b350pro4 and 1060.
I don’t have a monitor with dp port so yeah. I plug an HDMI thru 1060 and then a VGA-HDMI converter to mobo. I’ve tried plugging the main HDMI cable from the main monitor Into the mobo as well to make sure it’s not the converter with no luck. In bios, under north bridge there’s no options except SR-IOV Support. Help pls ty

There are 2 potential issues. First, having the the GTX1060 in your PC, may having triggered the mobo to turn off the internal video. You'll need to going into the bios and find the setting to turn on the mobo video. Second, the HDMI to VGA adapter, needs to be an "active" adapter. Meaning, it has to have a chip in it that converts the digital video to an analog VGA video signal. On Amazon, Newegg, etc, it will say "active" in the title of the adapter.
