2nd or 3rd slot Pci express for my 2nd GPU

Hello i recently bought a sound blaster Audio card and its sitting in between my 2 670's and ive noticed they are running a bit hotter , question is would i be able to use the 3rd pci x16 slot for my 2nd card instead of my 2nd slot ? i have a sabertooth z77

No, the 3rd port is a PCIe2.0x4 off the chipset, and won't work with SLI.

I'd move the soundcard into the top PCIex1 port, next to the I/O shield.

I cant cuz there is a fan for the motherboard that sticks out unless i remove the fan which i dont know if it will affect the mobo cooling?

Frankly, you're probably better off taking the whole TUF rubbish off anyway.

I'd pull all the plastic cover off, actually.

I cant really i would have to remove the Motherboard drain my water loop and redo everything would just removing that fan not make much difference in my MOBO temps?
