[SOLVED] 2nd PCI-E Slot isn't recognising my GPU

I've got a single GPU, a brand new GTX 1060. When removing my previous GPU from the first PCI-E slot I was an idiot and accidentally ragged it out with the slot as I forgot to unlock the slot beforehand. Being left with one option, I plugged my new GTX 1060 in the 2nd PCI-E slot of my motherboard (MSI Z97 Gaming 5), my system isn't seeing the GPU and when my monitor isn't connected to the motherboard but to the GPU, my screen turns black.

Please help this is stressing me out.

yo broke the first gpu slot connector so the second one wont work use internal or get a new motherboard.

some lanes will be shared in terms of an electrical trace, so by damaging the first slot, you've broken the second one too.
