Hey folks, How are Ya?

I postrd a build for your critique a few days ago, and got some wonderful feed back. Using much of the recommended gear, I came up with this. I will use this computer for home office and personal projects with home movies and such. I run two monitors and multitask research. Do you see improovements within the budget? Do I need a aftermarket CPU fan. Do you see any wires, adapters, or anything I left out?

CPU Intel Core i5-3450 3.1GHz Quad-Core
$192.97

Motherboard Asus P8H77-V ATX LGA1155
$109.98

The stock intel h/s will do just fine. The XMS is Corsair's crappy series RAM. Look at this set of G.Skill down below for the same price yet better quality.

650w is beyond over kill. This 520w down below is over kill for your set up but it's modular which makes for a cleaner build.

Newegg says that one is deactivated. Any other?

check the video software you are using as most of the free/cheap stuff will not utilize 16GB of ram. I am using Adobe Premiere, and even then it has to be a rather large project to make use of more than 8GB of ram (or be using uncompressed footage, which frankly my camera is not that good).

Also, Win8 is coming out pretty soon, and I noticed a bit better performance in video rendering when I moved from win7 to the win8RTM as win8 is all-around a lighter, and better at handling system resources. Mind you, it was not a huge difference (~2 minutes less render time on a 30 minute video), but with such huge changes like the new OS I think you would rather pay once rather than twice for the OS.

Not saying that win8 is something you would like or enjoy, as it is not for everyone, but I have really enjoyed using it these last few months. But to be honest there were about 2 weeks of pulling my hair out figuring out the logic behind the new interface before I really fell in love with it. The RTM is free, and will last you for 90 days, which is more than long enough for you to decide if you want to go with the new OS, or stick with the tried-and-true win7.

Thanks a lot everyone. I am going to post a new thread with my new collection of components I have picked out. I guess the micro ATX board is fine, but I can't decide.
I need to build this thing soon because my son needs one for school.
