Just built my first ever PC and quickly realized I would need more storage space. I was running a single 500 gig ssd but decided to add a second. first ssd still runs fine and is being utilized, but the second one won't connect or show up in the disk manager. Tried changing sata ports on the motherboard and a new power string but it still won't pop up in manager.
I'm using a asus rog b450-f motherboard and a ryzen 5 cpu.

Solution
2 sandisk ultra 3d 512 gig
edit: 512 not 500
SATA III drives, correct?

M.2 or 2.5" ?

That motherboard has 2x M.2 ports, but only ONE can utilize a SATA drive.
-------------------
1 x M.2 Socket 3, , with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*3
1 x M.2 Socket 3, , with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*4

Is it recognized in the BIOS and in Device manager ?

I'm new to building PC's and hardware as a whole, but yes I believe they are sata 3 and they are definitely 2.5's not m.2. the board should have 6 sata slots on the side for hardware correct?
