Question 2TB NVMe SSD now or wait for another year?

Hi, I am using Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M2. SSD. I probably can get by with 1TB for Windows and 1TB for Linux on my Desktop Workstation this year. However, for next year, I may need 2TB for Linux and for certain 2TB for Windows. I don't have much use for 1TB SSD besides puttting it in a laptop. Given that the cost of SSD continue to drop and things may get faster next year, shall I just wait for next year or just go straight to the 970 Evo Plus 2TB version? How likely will we see 3-5TB NvME M.2 SSD in a year?

I doubt we will see performance 4tb NVME drives anytime soon.
