Hello again to this amazing community!

My current storage drive (info in title), at some point about 4-6 months ago, we dark on me. Tried reseating the connection, cleaning, etc. and nothing. So I recently got an external HD enclosure that is USB3.0 connected, and when I go into the device manager properties, I see a USB3.0 device, and it even labels it as a "Standard Storage Device", but I cannot access it, or even see it in File Explorer whatsoever.

I am being very realistic with myself and thinking this might be totally bricked, and beyond hope. It's not vital priceless documents, but it's where I stored my home media library, music, photos, etc. and if at *all* possible, I'd love to attempt to salvage it.

My last attempt was to go into Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Storage->Disk Management, where my computer DID see something was there, but could not initialize it to see. I attempted a few times to initialize it and received I/O errors for a while, but eventually got "the semaphore timeout period has expired".

Any help would be greatly appreciated as always. I know, as with any storage, this is on me for not keeping a backup, and I will definitely learn from this. That said, if anyone has a glimmer of hope for me (or the brutal sad truth) I'd love to give it a go.

Thanks,
Andrew
