2TB Seagate Barracuda Suffering Drive Errors/Corruption

About 9-10 months ago I got a 2TB seagate barracuda, a replacement for the original faulty drive that was displaying storage way under capacity (like, 512mb). Everything has been fine until a few months ago where it has been slowly screwing with all my Steam games. 1st, my MGSV save wouldn't load, then Euro Truck simulator 2 and it's mods therein kept getting corrupted and crashing the game. Most recently, every time I reboot my pc I have to revalidate GTAV which takes a bloody 1.5h, while occasionally displaying a "scanning and repairing Drive A:" before booting. I could scan it everyday and chckdsk would find several errors while my C: drive is faultless (good thing that's where my OS is stored).

The writing's on the disk, so it seems, that it has either a bad sector or it's also faulty. So far, this line of hard drive is creating a poor track record, as well as a poor impression on me given it's age. What I want to know are what are my options to mitigate this. Right now I can only think some paid software will fix this, or I take it to the original shop I got it from to see what they can do about it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to see if WD has a similarly priced 2TB HDD, and I'll count this as a lesson to steer clear of Seagates...

I'll phone the shop and see what they can do about it, then.
