Question 2TB SSD only shows as 1.1GB in files and cannot be mounted.

Hi,

Last week my Ubuntu PC wouldn't boot and the SSD where the OS was installed couldn't be found in the BIOS.
At the moment I just want to try to recover my data from the SSD.
After reinstalling the OS on a new M.2 SSD I connected the old disk via SATA-to-USB cable.
In the file explorer it now shows as a 1,1GB volume even though it has 2TB. When trying to open it, I get the following error message.

Meanwhile in "disks" the OS actually detects the entire disk, not just the 1.1GB partition.

What confuses me the most, is that the 1.1GB partition seems to be the only one recognized, while it is also the only one out of the 3 that is NOT mounted. This doesn't make sense to me and makes it hard to google for similar cases online.

As for my questions:
  1. If the disk is detected the way I described it, how good are the chances that I can recover my files and that the disk is not corrupted completely?
  2. What could I try to regain access to the disk? Or is this already a clear case to seek a professional?
I really hope someone can point me in the right direction :)

This probably is, what is causing problem there.
Connect SSD normally with sata cables (not with USB sata adapter).
Thanks for your reply! I did this previously. The problem looks the same just that the 1.1GB volume of course shows up under "other locations" and not as USB connection. But it still gives the same error:

The disk partitioning is also the same (with the only difference that the very first partition can't be mounted anymore either):
