2TB SSD or NVME M.2 + SSHD for gaming build

I a planning a new build for a computer I would use mostly for gaming and after several hours of searching I cannot figure out what would be the right storage solution for me. So far I have been comparing these options.

2tb micron 1100 SSD for about $300 on amazon
or
256GB or 500GB NVME M.2 Samsung paired with SSHD for storage

I like the idea of one simple, large, SSD for storage. Everything on the drive would move at a fast pace rather the speedier NVME M.2 and comparatively slow SSHD. I also have a drive copier that I have been using that would make backups to a regular HDD simple. With the NVME I couldn't do this and would need to find a new way to backup. Obviously not a big problem but something to think about.

With the NVME M.2 for the OS and SSHD for storage I am thinking it would make things faster but not sure how much of a real world performance I would see to make it worth it to go from a large simple 2TB SSD that has more space than I will need.

What would you think I would prefer or what would you do? Maybe I forgot of another option? Anything else I need to ponder?

Planning to currently use my Radeon HD 7970 until I get a 4K tv then upgrade.

Currently I am still using an I7-920 Rig so I have been out of the loop on building for quite awhile.

For gaming, I recommend the second option, modified a bit. Get the 500gb M.2 SSD from Samsung, should be great for most used games and the OS, and then forget the SSHD, they really aren't that good compared to some drives that cost the same, I recommend a 2 or 3tb Ironwolf drive from Seagate, they are great drives and if you get the pro they have a warranty and free data recovery on the drive if it fails.

500GB M2 and big HDD with 7200rom and 64MB cache.

No point SSHD for storage as the small bit of flash onboard only works if data it caches is constant.
