2x 4-pin molex to 1x 8-pin Pcie

I have this PSU : Corsair CX400W 400 Watt
Im looking forward to run a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon AMD RX 470 8GB with it.
Since i only have 1x 6-pin PCIE, is it safe with this PSU to use an 2x 4-pin Molex to 1x 8-pin PCI adapter? (Or maybe 2x 4-pin to 1x 6-pin + 2x 6-pin to 1x 8-pin?)
I know there are some related posts already, but i think it really comes down to the used PSU?
Also there are some other rx 470 models which only require a 1x 6-pin PCI connector. But whtat, if i wanted this specific card?

If you want that specific card, change the PSU.

Generally, if a PSU doesn't have the appropriate connectors you need to run a specific card, you shouldn't.

The Nitro+ 470 is a 225W card, which is a ridiculous draw on a PSU that isn't very good to begin with.

Okay but according to corsair, the PSU can deliver up to 360W on the +12v rail (30Ampere).

Shouldnt this be more than enough for a rx 470 or even a rx 480?

In theory, kinda/sorta*. In practice, probably not.

*If the rest of your system pulled <135W, maybe. But even the most efficient CPUs are ~65W, and ~100W for the balance (motherboard, RAM, HDDs etc) exceeds the 12V rail.

The PSU itself is not the most reliable or the best quality either. I wouldn't recommend a build pulling >200W on that PSU, and your GPU is 225W alone.

2-sapphire rx 470 4gb - this is the non nitro version
