Question 2x 4pin in 1 8pin, or a 4pin?

I have a Seasonic Focus 750 Gold (http://www2.seasonic.com/product/focus-plus-750-gold/ ) and a i5-8600k with the Asrock edit z390 Extreme 4 Motherboard.

I have bought the motherboard and cpu just recently, and when building it I saw that I have a 8pin and a 4pin for the CPU, now I have plugged in the 4pin which seems to work fine, since I only had 2x 4pin plugged onto my PSU.
My question is, can I plug in this 2x 4-pin into my 8pin connector? Am I missing out on potential power? Should I get a 8pin eps cable?

if you have the correct 2x4 or 1x8pin cables, then use them. plug them into there corresponding sockets.
i thought you were saying you didnt have anything that would fit in the 2x4/8pin and thats why i said use whats there.

The 2x 4pin I have will connect just fine to the 8pin then?

yep!.
its actually designed to be an 8pin but split in 2 so people with 4 pin only can also use the psu.

Ah okay, thing thay bothered me was that I couldnt clip them together and the clip thingy was different from the one on mobo

The 4+4 does go together. Sometimes it's a little tricky, might have a tiny notch that fits, but they do both go in without undue force.
