So basically whenever i play graphic heavy games, or just games in general, my pc is crashing. I recently bought another Crucial Ballistix SP DDR3-1600 SC - 4GB ram module for my pc (4 gb to 8 gb of ram) and my pc started to crash within 15-20 minutes of gaming. Plugging out the new Ram module it is not happening, is it my new ram which is broken, or is it something else?

I have formatted all Hard drives, and reinstalled windows 8.1 on my pc, because i was afraid it was virus related. All new drivers are installed. So I'm convinced that it is a hardware related problem!

Solution
Go into BIOS and try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05, if it's a 1.5 stick take it to 1.55. Sounds like the sticks don't want to play nice. The increased voltage often can help and is perfectly safe.
Well if you just bought the stick, and the BIOS is reading it correctly, why not replace it under warranty. It happens, does your motherboard happen to have a memory test button, or another way to test the memory?

I actually dont know if it has, how do i find out?

It did work, I've now played 1:5 hours straight with no crash. My ram says 1.5V on the module, but in bios it was set to 1.6V by default. Increased it to 1.65V and no crash. Amazing, thank you so much!
