Hello everyone.
my pc specs are.

corsair grahite 760T white case
Gigabyte z77x ud3h mobo
ram 16gb g.skill tridentX 2133mhz
core i7 3770k 4.5ghz custom water cooling.
gpu 2x r9 290 sapphire tri-x OC
psu corsair axi860 watt.
240gb samsung 85o pro ssd(OS+programs) / sandisk extreme 480gb ssd (games)
asus pb287q 4k 60hz monitor / lg m2755A 1080p monitor (i only play at 4k)

Its summer where i have the higher income and i decided to do some upgrades on my pc.

Its gonna be really expensive for me to build a new pc with x99 and new intel cpu or upcoming skylane so i decided to upgrade my gpus.

So basically right now i can play any game at 4k with max to high settings with 60 fps w/o any problem to be honest, but upcoming and new games are more and more demanding. Will i be fine with 2 r9 290 on new games for 60 fps?

I have played gta v/bf4/hardline/batman/shadow of mordor/ryse son of rome/far cry 4 and assasing creed unity-rogue at 4k with 70+fps on max settings (sometimes low fxaa/AA etc-i feel i dont see anydifference when on/off-high/low) thats probably cause of 4k monitor.

So my options are 2x gtx 980ti OR 2x upcoming AMD furyX.

My biggest concern is that my chipset-mobo-cpu is going to bottleneck those gpus cause they are really hing end with a lot bigger bandwitch than my r9 290.

Does any of you know how amd i going to perfom? Is a waste of money? does it worth?

Thanks all readers in advance.

Nick.

yea but them bandwith is released and so does them steam proccesors (4096?) which mean something. i a just not so into things to answer my self. Maybe someone has gone deeper into info to know?

if I were you i would wait until Pascal next year to upgrade because it will cost alot to buy 2 new cards with waterblocks and also the hassle to drain and fill your loop. You say you can play your games fine with what you have so no need to upgrade now.
