Hi, i recently bought RX 580 MSI Armor, but it requires 8pin while my psu has 6pin only (1x).So my question is will 2x Molex to 8pin work till i buy PSU?.The thing is while testing the RX 580 on heaven benchmark, watts went to 120w max (Msi afterburner) so i thought this 8pin will be enough to get the card running but not gaming intense(till i buy PSU).

Current PSU:Gigabyte GE-R460-V1 (i think max continious output is 360w)
GPU:RX 580 8GB MSI Armor.
Mobo:Asus Asrock n68-VGS3(old yeah but not my main gaming pc)

After buying psu:

PSU:https://www.anhoch.com/product/43350/psu-350w-gembird-black-box-power
Mobo:Gigabyte h110m s2h

And what will your budget tell, after that crappy psu blows up and kills your pc and expensive gpu?

I have couple of blown up Gembird PSUs lying around myself.
Really not a good idea to use those. :)
Yeah, i am not going with the gembird.Currently i am running with the gigabte one with 2x molex 8pin and it works perfectly(hope).I am itching to buy this cooler master elite v3 500w.Is it good, i read that it is very poor psu. Thanks

Can't find any reviews, but at first glance I would guess it's not particularly great. Why are you itching to buy a PSU that you've read is very poor?
Cause in my country (like ebay site) i found one 20 euros: here's a link http://www.reklama5.mk/AdDetails?ad=3232783 look pretty good

Edit: The g4560 max 54w(never got that up)
GPU:rx 580 msi armor(150w at max)
1 ssd 1 hdd 7.2k.

I think this psu can handle them

Do not use molex-to-8-pin adapters, it's just asking for trouble.

Wait until you can afford a high quality power supply. While 500W+ is recommended for the RX 580, (which has a max of 185W, and NOT of 150W, the 570 maxes at 150W), you can get away with a 450W if it's something like, say, a Seasonic.

Do not take a chance on a low-quality unit, or with those adapters. You put your entire system at risk in doing that.
