Hey guys I just recently built a new computer, my first build.
Motherboard Gigabyte f2a68hm-H
APU Amd a6-5400k
RAM 2x2 1333mhz
PSU EVEga 500 WATT
Now I used some existing ram that I got from a friend I'm just wondering would I see a difference in 2x2 1333mhz vs 2x4 1600mhz? I do very light gaming, smite and couple other games. Thanks for any of your help!

Solution
The difference from increasing the RAM clock frequency from 1333 to 1600 MT/s will be nearly imperceptible in most cases, only benchmarks will be able to clearly tell the difference and even then, results might fall within the error margins for many of those.

Going from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM on the other hand might yield a very noticeable decrease in swapping-induced lag and re-loading delays as more frequently/recently used data gets cached by the OS.
Do you mean 2x2GB = 4 and 2x4GB=8? The 8GB would be great at 1600mhz and your board does support that. Make sure you have a 64-bit Operating System to recognize and use that though, otherwise you'd never even know you changed the RAM. A 32-bit OS will only recognize about 3.5 or so of that. ((This current PC is using 3.43 of the installed 4 on a 32-bitOS))
