2x2Gb modules 800Mhz run as single channel on p5K deluxe ?

Hi there,
I have installed 2 DIMS of 2Gb Super Talent 800 Mhz in channel A (DIM 0, DIM 1) on Asus P5K Deluxe.
On booting the post tells me that it's running in single channel mode. In the mobo manual the the biggest DIM of supported memory at 800Mhz is 1Gb.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what will be the difference in performance in 64bit OS if the memory runs on dual or single channel mode?

Dumb question... which slots do you have the dimms in?

like it's said in the manual I've installed them in to DIM_A1 (yellow) and DIM_B1 (black). but on boot report they are found in single channel at 800Mhz.
