I run a lot of memory intensive apps and I will be building a new pc soon which will run vista business x64 so I was thinking of putting in 4gb.

Is it better to have 4 1gb sticks or 2 2gb sticks? I've been looking at possibly getting 2 of these kits: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory for 4gb total in 4 sticks or this kit: G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory for 4gb in 2 sticks. Which would be the better option?

Are there any major issues with getting that much memory? Or is my best bet right now just to get one of the 2gb kits I mentioned above and stick with 2gb of memory for now?

For Vista Business X64 you will notice the difference between 2GB and 4GB, so I think you will find it is worth the cost. If it were me, I would do the 2X2GB kit. Some motherboards don't run dual channel memory as fast with 4 sticks of memeory as with 2. This will also allow you to add a couple of more sticks if you ever find a need to run more than 4GB 8O
