I am building a pc for one of my client and he already outsourced the mobo and cpu (prime x370 pro and 2400g) and has asked for me to search for ram and psu and storage. I managed to get hold of 4x4fb ddr4 kit and was just asking if that would cause any issues? I mean motherboard or cpu incompatibility issues.

you should be able to get the system running @ 4x4gb ram. however 4 dimm operates at a lower frequency.

given the fact that APU loves faster ram, your performance will suffer, however running out of the 8gb is more impactful.

whether or not they go 2400 is based on mobo and CPU, 1866 is the default speed I believe for 4 dimm configuration.

sometimes your system will be smart and automatically de-rate itself, other times, you need to manually change this value.
