have a nice day every body i kind of having a technical question ....
thats my rig ..

FX 8350 oc'd to 4.6
hyper 212 turbo fan
8gb ram
3 hdd
7950 OCD edition 3gb GDDR5 ...
27 inch 950 Samsung 3d monitor 1920X1080P

im thinking of adding another 7950 ocd edition as well cos im having a good opportunity to buy it with a good price from a friend and do cross fire ...
the question here is my psu adequate enough to power this system freely or i will have to upgrade to a bigger Psu ?

Thanks .

Solution
this is for the 7970 for the 7950 it says minimum 750 PSU for crossfire .. but is it really adequate to trade in my power supply just for 50 watts ? i dont think ill over clock any of the cards ill just run both on their stock values ...

Hi - actually a quality 700w PSU can power a system with 2 - 7950's.

However, your particular PSU isn't one I would recommend you attempt
to CF 2 7950's with. It can deliver it's rated power, but the issue with it is,
per Hardware Secrets review - "starting at 560w voltages go outside their allowed range,
that can make your computer behave erratically" Two samples were tested, both had the
same issue.

The OEM for that PSU is HEC, which in itself is a big cause for concern.

when i bought this power supply most of the retailers recommended it for me over corsair and thermaltake and coolermaster actually it was even more expenive ... the point here around me there is no retailers that sell 850 psu's im stuck whether with the corsair cx750M or the cougar 1000 which is a way tooooo expensive .. and still am i little confused about it is really worth it to lose in selling my psu just to upgrade for a 50more watts psu ...

so am i good to go with purchasing the card without changing my 700 cougar cpu ?

Def not recommended!

Solution
is it better that i trade my card for a vapor x 7970 6gb gddr5 edition ? will their going to be a serious difference ? considering im only running one 27 inch screen 1920X1080p monitor .... the idea it self between the 3gb cards and the 6gb ones is it really worth it if your using just one monitor ? also will their going to be a serious difference if it traded my 7950 card by the 7970 bear in mind that i over clock my card to even higher frequencies than the stock 7970 ones and i havent even noticed any difference in gaming ... and its weird because in some games i can hardly keep 40-50FPS like tombraider and hitman and bioshock (all maxed )... but i can run alan wake and devil may cry at like 100 and 110 FPS and max payne at like 80 all maxed also and i just purchased remember me and im maxing every thing and its very smooth ... upgrading my card to 7970 will solve these issues or the point here is that these games are not well optimized and my system is already capable enough and need no upgrading ?

thanks ...
