2x8gb or 4x4gb?

I am building a computer for my son so far I am going to get an
Asus Z270-ar
i7-6700k

My question is is it better to get 4-4gb modules or 2-8gb modules for memory? Or does ik make any difference?

I'd suggest going with z370 and 8700k for the same price. 2x8gb would leave ram slots open for upgrading and 2 sticks is less stress on the imc than 4. They're usually about the same price anyways. It's going to be dual channel either way.

You can start with pcpartpicker. They may not have the best/most up to date deals but it's a good tool to price it out easily.

They just came out Thursday so that's expected. They shouldn't be flying off the shelves in a week or so.
