It isn't recommended to buy RAM from seperate packs.
RAM sold in the same pack has been tested at the factory to work together. If you mix RAM modules, even the same make/ model from seperate packs, there is no guarantee they will work together.
The best choice would be to buy a proper 2 x 8GB pack.
