Hello everyone:
I'm trying to put together my new gaming rig.
These are the parts (If you have any recommendations they are very welcome)
Intel Core i5-760
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB
OCZ Agility 2 - 2.5" 60GB SATA 3.0 Gb\s MLC - Read: 285MB/s - Write: 275MB/s
Windows 7 - 64bit
Motherboard:
Asus P7P55D-E LX
Important Features:
Intel® P55 Express Chipset
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16
4 x PCIe 2.0 x 1 (2.5GT/s, gray slots)
2 x PCI
Marvell® PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller:
- 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (Gray)
Intel Matrix Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10
I'm planning to put 2 SSD on Raid 0, however this brings me a few questions?
Since the read/write speeds are almost at the limit of the SATA 3.0 Gb\s in raid 0 this will break that limit, I'm trying to avoid a bottleneck in the setup, so I have a few questions:
Is possible to use these SSD in Raid 0 in a SATA 6.0 Gb\s?
What I need for that (best motherboard and raid controller)?
Will this affect the performance of my PCIe Video Card? - I have been reading that some manufacturers uses part of the PCIe bus for SATA 6.0 Gb\s and USB 3.0 devices.
thanks.
