3 beep problem with additional ram

I use an intel dg41rq mother board with kingston kvr800d2n6/2g 2gb ddr2 ram. Now i bought a new transcend jm800 qlu-2g 2gb as additional. But when i insert the new ram the computer doesnt boot and the 3 beep sound is repeating. Computers starts only with the old ram. Even if i insert the new ram only, the beep problem exists... Should i make any changes to bios to make it work?

Does the new stick work by itself? If so go into the BIOS with that stick, raise the DRAM voltage + 0.05 save exit shutdown, then try adding the old stick

Try clearing CMOS then try it. If no joy it may be bad or incompatible
