3 GB vs. 4 GB graphics card memory

Will a GTX 770 with 4 GB memory be more futureproof than a GTX 780 with only 3 GB memory?

I'm gonna play FPS and I read that BF4 takes advantage of 3 GB memory when available. So I'm thinking, perhaps in 1-2 years time new games will use 4 GB memory?

3gb is plenty and the more power of the 780 is more important.

As RobCrezz said. 3GB is plenty for years to come! Lots of 770s are only 2GB and that is still enough. But going 780 3GB is rock solid.
