Question 3 GTX1080 supporting mother board ?

i have asus z170 gaming mother board and 3 GTX 1080 graphics card 2 of them fit perfectly but for the third one i think i need a PCI Express PCI-E 8X to 16X Riser Card Extender Ribbon Cable Or is there any other way ? is there any other mother board i can buy ? dose the extender cable effects the speed ?

Just checking, you are not trying to Sli them? I also think they will also run 4x pci-e speed but maybe 8-4-4 as you don’t have enough pcie lanes with that cpu to run 3 lots of 8.

no SLI i am using this for 3d rendering its working better without SLI . can you suggest a better mother board ?

I think you need someone with specific knowledge of 3D rendering as I have questions if this platform is going to be an issue due to limited pcie lanes.
