I was thinking of buying two Asus VS248s, two 3rd party stands so I can make them portrait/landscape at will, and putting them next to an older Dell that has 1980x1200 resolution (I believe). All have DVI but none have displayport so I think an adapter would be in order.
The main idea is to get a very high resolution monitor at the fraction of the cost..
so 1980x3240
height is more important to me. Though I think being able to flip them back to landscape for games is nice.
