3 monitor 1 dvi-split into 2-then 1 hdmi is it possible

im running a r7850 twinforce 2gd5/oc

what plugs i currently have are 1 hdmi 1 dvi. 2 dp-

i bought a y spliter

im running a hdmi 39, then im wanting to use my dvi splitter to split into two extended displays.


did i order the wrong one??
 
Solution
A DVI splitter will clone the signal, so both monitors will display the same thing, it will not create 2 independent monitors. Your video card will support 3 monitors but the 3rd has to use displayport, if your monitors don't have a displayport you can use an active displayport to dvi or hdmi adapter.
