Basically, budget is around 200 bucks, looking to get 1 monitor now, maybe a second down the line. I've been looking at NewEgg for a few weeks now and I am down to these 3 choices:

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-009-255&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=3#scrollFullInfo

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-005-195&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-236-117&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=3#scrollFullInfo

I am looking to watch HDTV and game on this screen as well! (Witcher 2/Crysis 2)

I am just worried because in the past i've heard people talk about HD quality (1080i/mock 1080p HD displays), but we all know what TRUE HD quality is; We've seen it.
For some reason we are sometimes bullied into buying the ALMOST up to par item instead what we truly want.

This is why I am asking you guys- I am not 100% sure what all those ratios and aspect ratios mean. Also, if you have any other suggestions for monitors please let me know.

Thanks!

Any of those monitors are sufficient. I would choose the ASUS based on the response time at 2ms and the higher dynamic contrast ratio. Additionally, it has a 3yr warranty.

I wouldn't consider the LG because of the 1yr warranty.

The ASUS would be my first choice.
The Acer would be my second choice.
