Hi,

I have a NVIDIA GTX 560 and a ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard.

Can I use both display outputs from GTX (VGA & DVI) as well as one from Z77 (VGA, DVI & HDMI) to run 3 monitors?

[strike]A user from this thread says it is possible, but I wanted to get a second opinion before I go out and buy two additional monitors :)
[/strike] Actually the thread in question was referring to ASUS Z77.

Any advice on this is appreciated.

Thanks!

Should not be a problem, as the other thread said.
Also mentioned in the other thread is not to game on the monitor connected to the mobo.

If you want to be cautious about it you can unbox only one of your monitors and plug it into the mobo with your first monitor still connected to your GPU.
With the other monitor still in pristine condition you can always bring it back.

I would think it possible, but you would need to confirm it on your end. Check your motherboard BIOS to see if there is a setting which will allow you to run both a discrete graphics card (GTX 560) and your on board graphics (Z77) simultaneously.

Hey,

So I have checked the BIOS for an option to use both integrated and external graphics but I couldn't find anything. When I checked some of the other threads I realized there are two different mobos with the Z77 name, I have the ASRock Z77 Extreme4, while the threads I checked were talking about Asus Z77 -__-

Now I have bought two extra monitors, but may only be able to use 2 all together 🙁

I will contact ASRock and see what they say.

Okay so I have setup the BIOS as follows (example from someone else):
http://cdn.overclock.net/3/31/900x900px-LL-314e4ac9_asrock-extreme4-m-vtd.jpeg
(Only in my BIOS VT-d capability is unsupported)

When I boot the monitor plugged into the graphics card VGA slot turns on, once it boots into windows both monitors that are plugged into graphics card work, but the third (plugged into onboard) stays off and when I press source it says there is no signal from my PC.

Do I have to do anything while booted into the OS to enable the third monitor?

I tried booting with Primary Graphics Adapter set to Onboard - when I did this the third monitor worked but the other two didn't.

Hey guys,

I got response from ASRock:
Thank you for contacting ASRock.
The onboard VGA will disable automatically if your install a external VGA card on the system.
If you would like to use both onboard and external VGA card, please refer the following to try.
1. Adjust IGPU Multi-Moniter to enabled.
2. Set the share memory from Auto to [32]/[64]/[128].
3. Adjust the Primary graphics adapter to onboard.

Thank you!
Warmest Regards
ASRock TSD

I enabled the settings (the only change was to give shared memory). I have tried options of 1024, 128 & 64 - Still not getting output from both devices!

In Device Monitor both devices are working:

However when I try open NVidia Control Panel, it doesn't start:

I noticed this window pops up when navigating through Device Manage, specifically the PCI Simple Communications Controller not having a driver:

I am going to download and install new NVidia Driver for my card and look into getting the PCI Coms Driver.

Does anyone know what the issue would be??
