hey guys just wondering im using a 50 inch led 4k tv right now for my "monitor" and as everything is ok for the most part just wanted to know if it would be worth going to 3 24 inch monitors just so i can free up my tv so i can watch sports without flipping back and forth....i found triple monitors for i believe 500 dollars(canadian) response time is 2ms. Id love to hear feedback from you guys!

Why not, plenty of people do that, and if you want to do 4k content, most modern gpus that support 4k support through drivers, also support eyefinity/surround with an auxiliary display, and you can use the 4k tv for that. i use a triple monitor setup and I love it, although i was using an eyefinity and now use a landscape 1440p monitor with 2 veritcal 1080p monitors on either side

yes, if it is the gigabyte that has the flex display, but i am sure the other cards support it too but they call it something different, but i am pretty sure that it will support an nv surround with an auxiliary display, if another individual wants to confirm that, but I am pretty sure about it.

What is the exact brand GPU

I'm running 8 monitors (all 1080p). no big deal. not for gaming, mind you, but for almost everything else it's quite nice. 6 of them are in portrait mode, in two groups of 3. then two separate singles in landscape. using onboard plus 3 graphics cards, but they're low-to-medium range cards, and I still have outputs available for 4 more screens.

its the msi gtx 970 4g

been doing it for 2 years or so. same monitors. and it kinda grew bit by bit, so I went from 1 to 2 to 6 to finally 8. I thought I'd stop at 6 but I guess not! thankfully I don't need to go past 8. and the bezels are not a big deal since in my case, it's several smaller windows and never one large window that needs to span. it actually helps to group the windows by function too - the bezel helps delineate it.

actually, this has sort of turned into an addiction. my work laptop can apparently drive 2 extra screens, so at the office I grabbed two similar monitors, plugged them into the docking station, and now I have triple-screen using my laptop. it's SCHWEEEEET.

So - how are you doing this?

I just acquired 3 screens yesterday, and have ordered a 3-screen mounting bracket - but everywhere I look, people say it is expensive or impossible to do this.

My plan:
Buy 3 USB->VGA adapters, a USB hub, and plug everything in...

My desire:
To extend my desktop, so I can have web on one screen, a book on another, and an application on the third.

The setup is for school purposes.

Thanks!

Michael.
