3 monitor setup?

Im building a gaming pc how do i set up 3 monitors with it?

If you intend to play with all three monitors at once, they have to be identical, and the setup depends on if you have an AMD or Nvidia card.

I'm new to this so i have no idea what I'm doing.

Yeah, you're covered. You would just plug the monitors in using two DVI connections and an HDMI or a displayport connection, and then install the Surround Drivers from nvidia.

I thought you absolutely had to use the displayport because it Nvidia needed a passive port. Or was that eyefinity...
