3 Monitors 1 Graphics Card?

is it possible to have three monitors in the mode where they are all seperate area to put stuff on can I do that with a R9 280x

Yes a 280x supports 3 monitors. You just need 3 monitors with the proper video ports matched to what is available on the card.
