3 Monitors off a Radeon HD 7970

I am trying to get 3 monitors to run off my Radeon HD 7970.

I have my current 2 using the DVI and HDMI ports. I bought an adaptor for Mini Display to DVI to use on the third monitor.

Windows can detect the Mini Display one, but when I go to extend it, it says that it is unable to save the display change.

I have been reading through all the posts here and half the stuff I don;t understand what it means, so please answer in simple terms if possible haha.

2 Monitors are LG both 23/24" in think and the othe rone is a Acer 18" if that makes any difference.

You need an active adapter, there's a few on that site and they will cost more than the passive one you have. If it's an active adapter, it will say in specs, otherwise assume it's passive.

Also it says to make sure I have sufficient power supply, I currently have a corsair cx750m 80plus bronze, should that be enough to use the adaptor?

Yes it should work. Psu is irrelevant to adapters as it takes none. It's referring to the gpu requirement which you are well above.
