3 monitors on 2 identical video cards.

Hi, I'm planning to build a gaming PC with 2 EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0 Video Cards (link to entire pc build, http://pcpartpicker.com/user/mrburnx/saved/cdHYcf ), can I run 3 monitors? And if so, how would you recommend going through with it? And if I can't, should I get a 3rd videocard?

Don't bother going 3 way, it's never worth it.
If you doing Nvidia Surround, I would suggest you look at this configuration tool:
