It's been over 3 months since I've had this issue, have tried an endless amount of things. Mostly can play for around 20 minutes before the game instantly just closes with no ERROR(like if i alt+f4) but sometimes can play for a couple of hours... Depending on the game for example Diablo 4 it crashes anywhere from 10-25minutes in but when I play Apex I can play for 30+ minutes most of the time. Keep in mind this is with every game I play (oddly except for Enshrouded, played for 6 hours yesterday and only crashed twice)

Specs: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/67210202

The issue arose around the time I upgraded my OS to Win11 but even going back to Win10 still had issues. For a little bit, I was getting blue screens but that was just because I had incompatible RAM on my motherboard and even in the wrong slots, since then just the constant crashes. I was reading that an ICUE update was frying people's RAM (around the time issues came around is when I updated my ICUE) even then I switched out RAM. Could it possibly be my motherboard? Or PSU?

Things I've tried:

Tried running games on Win10/11OS, swapping different RAM, and completely wiping my hard drives, have done countless RAM checks, made sure temps aren't too high while gaming(i play on the lowest graphical settings on every game), kept up on windows updates, updated and tried different versions of graphic drivers, reinstalling C++, tried adjusting DRM, playing on different resolutions, launching games using Dx11 instead of 12, running minimal background applications(the only thing I run in the background is discord, Spotify & Medal clips), running games in Admin, tried playthroughs with Fullscreen Optimization on/off, Tested playing with Windows Game Mode On/Off, doing multiple Sfc /scannow, removing temporary files and of course reinstalling the games themselves, adjusting and resetting Nvidia 3D settings, Disabled Windows firewall, and ran many antivirus checks. As for the network itself, it's solid and never had any issues before, my connection is 930mbps UP and 35 DOWN.

Things to keep in mind: I have not overlocked this PC and haven't changed any parts in it for a couple of years, but do keep it fairly clean. I do not go to malicious websites or download anything like that.

Read that the ASUS Rog strix B450-F has some errors down the line with the network port, bought an individual network port, and still nothing changes. A buddy of mine had told me that it could be my m.2 SSD, as it gave him issues a couple of years into wear.

Any feedback or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated in the most !!

have you been monitoring temps? how "full" is your ssd? windows 10 or 11? you mentioned both?

1. download and install crystaldisk info and check for errors/crashes on the ssd ( ive never heard of spcc brand for m2 ssd?)

2. have you checked for bios updates? windows fully updated?

3. your ram is running at base speed 2666mhz.. you need to go into bios and enable xmp or manually set the speed to 3600mhz.. sometimes this means mnually going in and upping the voltage to the spec on the ram, i had to up my voltage on my ram from being stock under-powered at 1.2v to the voltage required by the ram at 1.35v.

once you set that, you can go in and enable virtualization on the cpu, and if you want, a d.o.c.p. overclock (based to the speed of the ram) .. i have my crucial ballistix 3600 ram running at full speed, with a manual overclock on my 5600x cpu to 4.6ghz

4. cleandisk and defrag (yes even a ssd requires a defrag or "trim" on occasion.

5. search ~ cmd ~ right click and run as admin

type~
sfc /scannow
let it run

type~
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
let it run

i would also suggest to run a memory test on each ram module seperately leave 1 stick of ram in slot b2 test and replace it with the other stick of memory. test it, and if both check out put the other stick in A2.

To access this test, you'll need to enter the BIOS or UEFI firmware settings by pressing a key (such as F2,f10, or or Del) during the boot process. Once you're in the firmware settings, look for an option to run a memory test or diagnostic test

that motherboard is a pcie 3.0 board, graphics card is a 4.0 card.. slight bottleneck there in speeds.

have you run the nvidia ddr to do a complete removal of vid card applicatons and drivers.. and completed a fresh install of software?

Why is your 3600 speed ram running at stock 2133?
By itself that might impact performance, but not cause crashes.
Can you list the make/model of all of your parts?

In particular, is your 3600 speed ram from a single matched kit or is it two separate identical part numbers.

Have you run a full memtest86 pass to the end with NO errors.
There should be an option in the asus advanced settings to check.

Failure after a time smacks of a heat issue.
But, overheating should result only in throttling and a performance hit for a while and you can keep on running.

What is the make/model of your psu?
How old is it?
Have you plugged in the 8 pin cpu eps connector into the motherboard.
3000 series nvidia cards can have occasional temporary high power draw spikes that some power supplies can't handle.

Lastly run without discord and the other background apps.
A failure in one of them can crash your system.

The latest bios version is 5302:
It addresses system stability.
CPU-Z or the bios screen will tell you what you have.
That might be my first suggestion to fix.

Changed ram over to 3600 & updated Bios tvyvm for that!

OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (switched from WIN10 recently)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (3-4 years old)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 C18 2x16GB (same matched kit) (week old)
MB: ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING (AM4) (4-5 years old)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 (2-3 years old)
Drives(C) SPCC M.2 PCIe SSD (red) (4years old)
(D) Seagate ST2000DM008-2FR102 (2years old)
Soundcard: Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus (4years old)
CPU cooler: Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM AIO Liquid CPU (5 years old)
Network card: TP-link 2.5 GB PCIe network adapter (couple months old)
PSU: EVGA 700 B1, 80+ BRONZE 700W (100-B1-0700) (4-5 Years old)

Done multiple Memtest86 tests and have been clean every time, am in the process of doing individual sticks. 8-pin CPU eps connector is plugged in as well. Tried just running a game alone and still crashed around the 15-minute mark.

Have done all these steps and am in the process of doing individual Ram checks.
Drive C is 244GB free of 953GB
Drive D is 1.7TB free of 1.8 TB
No errors came up during sfc or dism/cleanup

3000 series graphics cards can occasionally have some unusually high spikes that older power supplies can not handle.
The evga 700w comes only with a 3 year warranty that does not exude confidence in quality.
See if you can't test with a stronger psu that has a 7 year or more warranty.

5 years is about the time that an aio starts to fail and need replacement.
The pump fails or gets clogged.
Or air intrudes through the tubes and the unit needs to be replaced.
Monitor your cpu temperatures to see if there are any thermal spikes over 85c.

Sound cards are always a suspect with strange issues.
They interact more than you might think with the cpu and motherboard.
Try reloading the drivers, or test with the card removed completely
