Hello,

I've done CMOS reset by replacing the 3V battery. Unfortunately 3 out 4 slots are not working now. Computer starts only with 1 memory stick in one particular slot. It seems like other are disabled or something.

Motherboard:
GA-M52L-S3
Memory: 2x2GB Goodram 800MHZ

Could you please give me any hint or solution?

Thanks in advance.

H Lukasz,

If you don`t mind I wish to ask a few questions in order to get to the reason why thee out of the four memory sticks do not work for you.

First of all, is the motherboard, old or new. And was there anything you did or fitted to the motherboard where it caused a problem other than the memory suddenly not being read by the memory slots of the motherboard.

Has any liquid been spilt on the system, or has the system been moved or transported.

Are all of the ram sticks you have of the same speed, at 800Mhz and have the same timing settings on them, and DDR 2.

I have just cleaned up the computer, changed thermo paste under the cpu. I have changed battery. I haven't touched memory sticks. Computer didn't start.

When i put memory to a wrong slot then there is no signal on the monitor and computers starts normally without a beep. 🙂

Motherboard isn't new and everything was running really good before tasks which i've done.
