I will probably need to operate 3 (or maybe even 4) PCI devices, however, the new mobos come with only two PCI slots, any way around it? (I'll have the DFI UT nF4 SLI-DR)

Screwed!!! 😱

Maybe one of your devices is available in a PCI-e format?

Or buy a board with 3 PCI slots?

Quick <A HREF="http://www.google.com/search?biw=1006&hl=en&q=PCI+expansion+card+extender" target="_new">google</A> search showed up these:

as well as others.

Hmm, I know about the Ethernet, what about sound? I mean, I planned for an inexpensive Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS PCI 24 Bit? You say I can throw it out altogether?

I may need to install an additional fan (PCI controlled) for my case, as well as a RAID controller, both PCI.

The Audigy is better sound than onboard, but onboard sound is pretty darned good nowadays. Hard to tell the difference except for true audiophiles.

The Epox nforce 4 ultra is a very good mobo and it has 3 PCI slots.

I may need to install an additional fan (PCI controlled)
Just add the fan, and either stick a variable resistor in for a continous control, or set up a switch to switch the fan between 12V and 5V (or 7V).
Or even just permanently wire it up for 7V maybe...
